Maude Sellers, of Clay City, IN and formerly of Liberty, was born on June 18, 1925, a daughter to Finley and Martha Mae Sizemore Edwards in Franklin County. She was very fortunate and was able to be a homemaker and raise her 2 children, Douglas and Sue. Maude was a member of Faith Southern Baptist Church in Clay City and she loved flowers, working in the garden, and especially loved her family. On Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the age of 94, Maude passed away at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville, IN.
Those surviving who will cherish Maude’s memory include her children, Douglas (Dana) Sellers of Centerpoint and Sue (Merlen) Rude of Liberty; seven grandchildren, Thomas (Tina) Rude, Timothy (Rachael) Rude, Kevin (Becky) Sellers, Julie (Jason) Eveland, Jeff (Maria) Sellers, and Stacie (Bruce) Fischer; fifteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Genova Casteel; one brother, Clifford Edwards; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Sellers; granddaughter, Erin Rude; three sisters, Beulah Foster, Holly Lancaster, and Geraldine Casteel; and four brothers, Bergen, Marvin, Howard, and Paul Edwards.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Burial will follow immediately in Maple Grove Cemetery.
