Mary Louise Stevens, of Moores Hill, Indiana, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 in Milan, Indiana.
She was born March 18, 1928 in Lee County, IL. daughter of the late John F. Luke and Edna L. Bollivar Luke.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sparta, also a Deaconess in the church and a member of the Women’s Missionary Society. Mary enjoyed gardening and she was a good seamstress. She kept a good home and was an excellent cook, well known for her apple pie. She was a great wife and mother and she will be greatly missed.
Surviving are children, Clayton (Gertrude) E. Stevens of Moores Hill, IN, Kathleen (Steven) Holland of Bay City, TX; 3 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, John and Edna Luke, husband of 63 years, Clayton Roy Stevens, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Friends will be received Monday, February 27, 2017, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home.
Services will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday at 11:00 am with Pastor Rick Burcham officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
