Mary F. “Fran” (Tschaenn) Gabbard, 86, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022, in Milan, Indiana.
She was born October 6, 1936, in Lawrenceburg, IN, of the late Frank Anthony Tschaenn and Irene (Garrison) McElfresh.
She was a babysitter for many years and impacted the children’s lives in a positive way. Fran was a member of Life Church (formerly Alliance Church). She enjoyed shopping, gambling a little, was an avid reader. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley. Fran’s favorite time was time spent with her family, especially her grand babies.
Fran is survived by her loving daughter, Sharon “Sherri” (Timothy) Lawson of Lawrenceburg, IN; grandchildren, Jaime (Carrie Keel) Reynolds of Indianapolis, IN, Kris (Jaclyn) Reynolds of Aurora, IN, Samantha (Erich) Mattl of Columbus, IN, Samantha Jo (Michael) McNutt of Harrison, OH and Timothy Lee Lawson Jr. of Boulder, CO; great-grandchildren, Francesca Taylor, Lucille Mae Reynolds, Aydan and Kylen Ashcraft, Aailyah O’Quinn; siblings, Sondra Lou Booth, Christine Watkins, Kathy Lynn, Barbara “Bobbie” McElfresh, Frank Anthony Tschaenn, Ricky Allen Tschaenn, Charles William Tschaenn, and Johnny McElfresh.
She was preceded in death by father, Frank Anthony Tschaenn; mother, Irene Gladys McElfresh; husband of 65 years, James Edward Gabbard; siblings, Carolyn J. Gabbard, Geraldine Ballard and Donna Lee Bowling.
Friends will be received Tuesday, December 20, 2022, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Life Church, 201 W. Conwell St. Aurora, IN.
Services will be held at the Church, Tuesday immediately following visitation, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Kenny Hopper officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
