Mary Ann Knueven, 88, of Sunman, died on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
Mary Ann was born in New Alsace on June 15, 1930 to Otto and Pearl (Lingg) Graf. She was a graduate of Guilford High School. On August 2, 1950, Mary Ann married John W. Knueven at St. Paul Catholic Church in New Alsace. She was a member of All Saints Parish in New Alsace and a member of the New Alsace American Legion Auxiliary for many years. Mary Ann enjoyed painting, sewing, working in her flower beds, watching birds, and visiting with her family.
Mary Ann is survived by her three sons and their spouses all of Sunman: John and Karen (Schneider) Knueven, Mike and Karen (Nobbe) Knueven, and Bill and Bev (Eckstein) Knueven; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband John, who died on October 24, 1974, Mary Ann was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Marie, in 2010 and her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated by Father Jonathan Meyer at All Saints Parish, St. Paul Campus, in New Alsace at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Church Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Alsace American Legion Auxiliary, All Saints Parish or for masses.
