Mary “Adrienne” Graves

Adrienne Graves, 99, of Dillsboro, Indiana, passed away Wednesday March 24, 2021 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

She was born August 27, 1921 in California, KY, daughter of the late Edward Cropenbaker and Zelda (Rader) Cropenbaker.

She worked as a Line Worker for Seagram’s Distillery, retiring after over 34 years of service.

She was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She also belonged to the Washington Township Home Ec. Club. Adrienne was very personable and loved people. She made friends easily and didn’t know a stranger. She loved to cook and bake for others. Feeding people was her way of showing love. Adrienne was also an avid reader and she loved to listen to the “Old Country Western Music.” In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing and would still keep the rhythm of the beat in her latter years. She left a legacy of hard work and loving kindness to family, church family and friends. Adrienne will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Adrienne is survived by her son, Paul Stratman (Jim Carter) of Scottsdale, AZ; daughters, Sharon Ryan of Lawrenceburg, IN, Marlene Stratman of Aurora, IN; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard Dale Graves, son, Edward Stratman, and a grandson, Stephen Paul Stratman.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at 7:00 pm following visitation, with Pastor Charlie Hill officiating.

Contributions may be made to the Cincinnati Veteran’s Hospital or charity of donor’s choice. If unable to attend services, please call the funeral home office at (812) 926-1450 and we will notify the family of your donation with a card.

Due to the current situation dealing with COVID-19, we are following the directives from Governor Holcomb and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concerning large events and mass gatherings. The family deeply appreciates the support and love shown from friends, but the health and well being of everyone in our community is of top priority.
