Marjorie Lois Obermeyer, 91

Marjorie Lois Obermeyer, 91, of Hayden, Alabama formerly of Greensburg, passed away on March 23, 2022. She was born on January 28, 1931 in Letts, Indiana the daughter of Elias House and Mable Baker Jackson. Marjorie graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1949. Marjorie married Bernard Obermeyer in May 31, 1986. She farmed and retired from Randall Company. Marjorie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg, the 50 Club and the Pythian Sisters. She was a hard worker, enjoyed quilting, spending time with her family and friends, gardening, cooking and just plain being kind to people.
Survivors include: Katharine Curtis and Lynette Myers; Grandchildren, Anthony Whitehead, Heather Damhoff, Timmy Myers, and Billy Myers; Seven Great Grandchildren and Two Great Great Grandchildren. Her survivors also include the beloved family of her husband Bernard Obermeyer. With them she had numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents and Husband, Bernard Obermeyer.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Monday, April 4, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of the Funeral at 11:00 am. Rev. Cliff Bunch will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Holy Family Cemetery in Oldenburg. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or the Hospice Foundation of America.
