Marian Nadine Acra (Aunt Red)

Nadine Acra of Aurora, Indiana passed away Thursday September 10, 2020 at Shady Nook Care Center at the age of 88.

She was born February 2, 1932 in Rising Sun, IN, to the late Paul and Irene (Scott) Acra.

She loved boating, skiing, bowling and her church and community. Nadine also enjoyed crossword puzzles, loved cats, and loved spending time with her nieces.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, Sharon Bailey, Ric Snow, Jennifer (Greg) Due, Sheryl (Mike) Oatman, Teri (Ron) Schwier, Kevin (Cheryl) Fuller, Bobbi Acra, Sabrina (Alan) Simmons; 11 great nieces and nephews and 10 great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Irene and Paul, sister, Donna Fuller, brother, Bobby Acra, niece, Londa Fuller, and nephews Randy Fuller and Jeff Acra.

She was a wonderful aunt and mother to everyone, even if you weren’t related. Everyone called her Aunt Red, and she will be missed by all.

Friends will be received on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home. Services will follow immediately after at 4:00 pm with Brother Kenny Hopper officiating.

Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Alliance Church in Nadine’s honor. If unable to attend services, please call the funeral home office at (812) 926-1450 and we will notify the family of your donation with a card.

Due to the current situation dealing with COVID-19, we are following the directives from Governor Holcomb and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concerning large events and mass gatherings. The family deeply appreciates the support and love shown from friends, but the health and well being of everyone in our community is of top priority. We are asking everyone who will be in attendance to please remember the social distancing guidelines at all times, and the wearing of masks is highly recommended.
