Margaret “Margie” W. Gordon, 77, of Aurora, Indiana, entered into rest Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 as she wished at her daughter, Tisa’s home. After her valiant fight with ovarian cancer diagnosed in 2014, her battle resumed in Feb. 2017 as stage 4. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God and the love and support of family, friends and many others carried her through the past three and a half years.
Today, she continues to live deep within the hearts of those who were fortunate to have met her. Margie loved unconditionally with such a giving and honest heart. Her faith was very important to her. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, playing card games, garage sales and taking drives. Her husband’s nickname for her was “runagade”, because she was always on the go. Margie had a quiet reserved soul, whom never expected much for herself, but gave like she had millions. The only millions she had was love and that she gave unconditionally. She touched so many hearts during her time here on earth with us.
She was born February 25, 1940 in Lawrenceburg, IN, daughter of the late William E. Thompson and Frances E. Thompson.
Margie was the beloved wife to Scott R. Gordon of 45 years. A devoted mother to seven children; Robbin Thompson (Vicki), Vera Fugate, Aaron Gordon (Kelly), Tisa Lowe (James), Jamie Gordon, Billy Gordon, and Jill Stock (Chris). She was a cherished grandmother to eleven grandchildren and great-grandmother to seventeen great-grandchildren. Margie was a loving sister to two brothers; Robert Thompson and Rick Brewer and three sisters; Carol Baisseau, Audrey Shirley, and Debra Brewer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Scott R. Gordon and brother, Emmett Thompson.
