Jennings County, IN — Thursday evening, deputies from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office assisted an out of state agency in the recovery of over 500 Heroin/Fentanyl capsules in Jennings County. This seizure was a multi-state and multi-jurisdictional investigation into narcotics trafficking by a large scale criminal organization. The street value of the capsules seized is estimated to be over $30,000.00 and had the potential of creating thousands of potential overdoses and deaths.
This is an ongoing investigation in several states. Sheriff Freeman states that the Sheriff’s Office will continue to combat drug trafficking through the county.
