Lois Louise Louden, 92, of Hartsville, passed away at 5:18 a.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Morning Breeze Healthcare Center in Greensburg. She was born on May 16, 1933, in Decatur County, the daughter of Ransel Leroy and Louise Isidore (Clark) Hutchinson. She lived the majority of her life in Decatur County and
was a graduate of Jackson High School. She was a homemaker; her family was everything to her. Lois married Max E. Louden on November 11, 1951, at Sardinia Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2018. She is survived by her daughters, Julia (Daniel) Boilanger of Westport and Linda (Tim) Taylor of Hartsville; her son, Dale (Melinda) Louden of Westfield; her son-in-law, Kenneth Blanton of Greensburg; her sister, Norma Jean Louden of Greensburg; her brother-in-law, Larry Louden of Greensburg; her grandchildren, Heather (Andrew) Morrison of Columbus, Joyce Sebastian of Indianapolis, Jamie Wheeler of Westport, Amanda (Jeremy) Wade of North Vernon, Jared (Amanda) Boilanger of Westport, Matthew (Catherine) Taylor of Heritage Lake, Tara (Grant) Hunt of Carthage, Jordan Taylor of Scipio and Lucas (Lauren) Louden of Westfield; her great grandchildren, Cole Sebastian and Garrett Sebastian both of Indianapolis, Abby Wheeler of Westport, Ali Boilanger and Austin Boilanger both of Westport, Zoe Wheeler of Westport, Brooklyn Wade and Landon Wade both of North Vernon, Jonah Taylor of Heritage Lake, William Hunt, Evelyn Hunt, Olivia Hunt and Ryan Hunt all of Carthage and her great-great grandchildren, Levi Bennett and Charlotte Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Max and her daughter, Carolyn Blanton, 1 grandchild and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Brad Douglas officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. A time of visitation will be on Friday, April 3, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 at the funeral home.
