Indianapolis, In. — The Libertarian Party of Indiana is welcoming Bill Weld to speak May 5th at the downtown Indianapolis Marriot at 6 p.m.
William ‘Bill’ Weld was elected Governor of Massachusetts in 1990 with 51% of the vote and re-elected in 1994 with 71% of the vote. Despite the state legislature being controlled by a Democratic majority, Bill cut taxes 21 times and did not permit any tax increases. He is a strong advocate of social tolerance. In 1992, Bill was rated the most fiscally conservative governor in the United States by the Wall Street Journal. In 2016, he was the Libertarian nominee for Vice-President of the United States.
