(Brookville, IN) – Letts EMS-Franklin County Paramedics has acquired property on Main Street in Brookville for construction of a new facility, which will house their trucks and crews currently stationed at the Margaret Mary Health complex in Brookville.
The site was purchased from the James Hyde Estate.
Design and engineering work are underway.
The aim is to have the new facility up and running by early summer.
Letts EMS says the truck assigned to Metamora will stay there and continue to serve that community.
The southern Decatur County-based life squad was awarded the countywide EMS contract last summer by Franklin County Commissioners.
The move brought to an end Franklin County EMS’ 50-year run serving residents and the community.
