Lester W. Oehlmann

Lester W. Oehlmann of Westlake, Ohio, was born October 21, 1939 in Brookville, Indiana, the son of Wilbur and Lydia Minnemann Oehlmann.  After graduating from Brookville High School in 1957, he enlisted in the United States Navy and spent four years aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Franklin D. Roosevelt.  He married Anna Marie Lewis in September 1961, and she survives.  Lester attended the University of Jacksonville and the University of Florida, graduating with a degree in electrical engineering.  He went on to work for DuPont Washington Works in Parkersburg, West Virginia.  Lester retired as Senior Technical Engineer from DuPont in 1996, after 30 years of employment.  On January 2, 2017, at the age of 77, he passed away.

 

Those surviving who will cherish his memory include his wife, Anna Marie Oehlmann; three children, Shelley (Robert) Bobrowski of Colleyville, TX, Leila (Parry) Daiuto of Westlake, OH, and Bradley (Amy) Oehlmann of Bluffton, SC; a sister, Dorothy (William) Roleson of Brookville; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Brookville.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.  Memorial donations can be made to the Franklin County Cancer Assistance Now (FC CAN) at P.O.
