Leroy Reams, age 85, of Brookville, Indiana died Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio.
Born June 1, 1932 in London, Kentucky he was the son of the late William Bartlett Reams & Samantha Gill Reams. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. On February 24, 1951 he was united in marriage to the former Geneva Eversole, and she survives.
Leroy was a retired Truck Driver, and a member of the Teamsters Local #100 in Cincinnati. He was a member & Past Master of the Harmony Masonic Lodge #11 F. & A.M., the Order of Eastern Star #449 of Brookville, Scottish Rite, as well as the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Brookville.
Besides Geneva, his loving wife of nearly 67 years, survivors include five children, Cindy (Jim) Jorgensen of Valparaiso, Indiana, Wanda (Mark) Whittaker of Brookville, Indiana, Ronnie (Etsie) Reams of Brookville, Indiana, Teresa (Marion) Allen of Batesville, Indiana and Belinda Slabinski of Cincinnati, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Reams of Laurel, Indiana and Walter Reams of Jewett, Texas, and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Leroy Reams Jr., two grandsons, Mark Nolan Blackman, and Adam Taylor; two sisters Aleen McQueen and Irene Harlow; four brothers, Steve Gill, William Gill, Robert Reams and J.C. Reams.
Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Masonic Memorial Services will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville. Rev. Glen Goins will officiate the Memorial Services immediately following the Masonic Services.
