Leah Beth Ash, 43

Leah Beth Ash, 43, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Monday, April 14th, 2025 at her residence. Leah was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on December 16, 1981, a daughter of Tammy (Craig) Buschle and James E. Gridley. Leah grew up in Ohio County and was a graduate of Rising Sun High School, Class of 2000. She was the wife of Joel  Ash. Leah and Joel were married on March 24, 2014. Leah had many talents and held various jobs over the years. She formerly worked at Seagram’s Distillery, Wendys, Arvin Sango and she was also a skilled welder. Leah was devoted to her savior Jesus Christ and attended the Rising Sun Church of Christ  and the Madison Church of Christ. She also loved her children beyond measure and would do anything for them. She loved her sister and childhood memories. She also had a special bond with her best friend, Vanessa — their friendship was truly something special. Beyond that, she had a passion for shooting sports and a deep love for all animals , big and small. She was also a talented cake decorator and baker. Even as a teen, she showed her compassionate nature working at a nursing home, possessing a remarkable gift for making others feel valued and loved. She had a way of connecting with the seniors, brightening their days with her cheerful conversations and entertaining spirit. Leah often spoke fondly of Sunday dinners and the wonderful adventures she shared with her grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Craig. Grandma Gridley held a special place in her heart, too. And her talents extended beyond baking and caring for others; she also managed a halfway house, helping those in crisis find support and hope. She will be missed by many.
