STATEHOUSE — The Indiana legislature will hold a special one-day session next Monday to vote on the state’s COVID-19 emergency order.
Governor Eric Holcomb first put the public health emergency order in place in March 2020 and has extended it 20 times since then.
The Governor offered to work with lawmakers last week to roll back most of the order.
Holcomb said, before the emergency order is lifted, three things must happen: allowing the continuation of enhanced matching funds for Medicaid expenditures; allowing the continuance of benefits for Hoosiers receiving federal food assistance, and extending the ability to efficiently vaccinate children between the ages five and eleven.
