In a night of extremely good competition The Trojans came away with a majority of the wins.
EC vs. Batesville Volleyball (8-24)
From Coach Erin Trenkamp (Freshmen): The Freshman girls lost in two sets against the EC Trojans. Making some great defensive digs off of her own block several times in both games was Grace Sarringhaus. Serving strong and making some great kills/blocking was Katie Bedel. Fresnmen Lost 25-15, 25-20.
From Coach Shelly Prickel (JV): The Batesville JV volleyball team defeated conference rival, East Central, by the scores 25-17, 17-25, 15-9. Kelsey Shupe dominated at the net with 10 kills, while Caitlyn Broering and Margaret Weisbrod had 5 and 4 kills respectively. Anna Bauer continued her strong service with 10 points followed closely by Corrine Stone with 8. The team remains undefeated on the season with a 7-0 record.
Varsity (3-4): The Varsity played a heart filled roller coaster of a match against a very good East Central team. We came out with a noting to lose attitude, but as the night got heated and we saw opportunity, our vision changed from nothing to lose to something to win. Swinging, passing , and serving with authority we took the first set, and led for a majority of the time in set # 2. We capitalized on keeping their hitters just hitting high outside sets where our defense could pick them up. The bulldogs are the only team so far to find that chink in the Trojans armor, handing them their first set loss of the season. We keep getting better every night, with more confidence and savvy. More matches of this caliber will us in prime form come post season. EC wins: 25-19, 22-25, 12-25, 17-25,
