Lady Chargers On The Winning Side Over Lady Indians

The North Decatur Lady Chargers defeated The Milan Lady Indians 6-3 on Tuesday.

ND got things started in the first inning. Keisha Crosland drove in one when Crosland singled.
In the bottom of the second inning, Milan tied things up at one. Karly Sargent drew a walk, scoring one run.
After North scored one run in the top of the sixth, The Lady Indians answered with one of their own. The Lady Chargers scored when an error scored one run. Milan then answered when Abby Moore drew a walk, scoring one run.

ND pulled away for good with four runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Crosland singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs and The Lady Chargers scored on a stolen base during Bobbie-Jean Trask’s at-bat. Then Trask singled, driving in one.

Crosland got the win for North. The right-hander went four innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out six. Crosland recorded the last 12 outs to earn the save for The Lady Chargers.
Erin Widener took the loss for The Lady Indians. The hurler went seven innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, striking out six, and walking one.

Haley Arthur started the game for ND. Arthur allowed zero hits and one run over three innings, striking out nine.

North tallied 12 hits in the game. Crosland, Kaylin Muckerhide, Lilli Tatman, Kacie Ogden, and Kennedy Stier each racked up multiple hits for The Lady Chargers. Stier, Ogden, Tatman, Muckerhide, and Crosland all had two hits to lead North.

Milan stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Karsyn Bode led the way with two.
