The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Franklin County to take on the Wildcats in a conference matchup. The Dogs came away with a 3 set victory winning 25-14, 25 -19, 25-21. The Lady Bulldogs are 16-8 overall and 3-1 in the Conference. Statistical leaders for the Varsity were Laney Walsman 12 for 12 serving with 2 aces. Katie Bedel had 11 kills while Macy Prickel followed with 10. Our defense was led by Regina Gerstbauer with 9 digs. Our next match is against the Greensburg Pirates on Monday, October 7th, at Batesville. It is our Dig Pink Night.

The Batesville JV volleyball team traveled to Brookville for a rematch with Franklin County. The team earned the conference win with scores of 25-15, 25-23. The first set showcased some dominant serving putting the Wildcats out of system. In set 2 both teams struggled to find serving consistency initially with the Lady Dogs hanging on for the win. Regina Gerstbauer was 10 for 11 from the service line with 7 points including 3 aces. Shelby Westerfeld scored 6 points including 3 aces. Sophie Lee was 15 for 16 spiking, notching 5 kills in the winning effort. Lee added 12 digs and 7 serves receives for an excellent all-around performance. The team is now 13-7 and will play Greensburg at home on Monday in another conference battle. We invite everyone to join us in wearing pink to the game on Monday to honor Cancer survivors and those who fought bravely against the disease!
