The Pirates passing game looked greatly improved from the last few games. This lead to an early goal. With only four minutes off the clock, Haley Bockover found the back of the net with an assist from Kayla Haycock. The Golden Bears managed to answer that goal a minute later. The Pirates second goal came from a carrying drive from midfield by Mykenzi Morlan and a long shot from the outer corner of the 18 to sail high into the goal. This was Morlan’s first High School Career Goal.
At the half, the score was tied. The Bears managed to score three goals in the second half to finish the highly emotional game with a score of 5-2 with the Bears on top. This takes the Lady Pirates record to 1-6-3. The Pirates travel to Rushville Saturday. Game time is 10 A.M.
