The Lady Bulldog Softball team was defeated by the Lady Pirates of Greensburg by a score of 12-2 Friday night at Greensburg.
The Bulldogs took an early game lead as they scored 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning. Greensburg then responded with 4 runs of their own in the bottom of the inning and never looked back.
Rose Morrison earned the win for the Pirates, giving up 6 hits, a walk and striking out 5. Laker and Obermeyer finished the game with 2 hits each. Freshman Sydnee Schaefer led the defense with 4 putouts, and a double play. The three Bulldog pitchers (Obermeyer, Oldham, and Westerfeld) gave up 8 earned runs on 2 strike outs, 3 walks and 3 hit by pitch.
The Bulldogs move to 4-12 on the season and 2-10 in the EIAC with the loss.
