Congratulations to the girls Batesville High School Cross Country team as they expanded their undefeated season to 41-0, winning the 8 team South Dearborn Invitational on Saturday with a score of 40. Ryle came in 2nd with 73 and Greensburg had 76.
All the Bulldogs crossed the line in 18th place or better. Leading the way for the Dogs were Kelsey Gausman running a personal best of 19:59 and coming in 3rd. She was followed by teammates Sarah Poltrack, 6th at 21:12, Maria Wessel, 9th at 21:20, Mary Poltrack, 10th at 21:31 and all running personal bests-Emma Gausman, 12th at 21:46, Katie Baumer, 17th at 21:56 and Kylie Lehman, 18th at 21:57.
All of the JV runners also received awards and finished in the top 11. Leading the way for Batesville was Madeleine Robben, 2nd, Bre Hartman, 5th, Jamie Day, 7th, Mary Catherine Barnett, 8th, Candice Roell, 9th, Sarah Canady, 10th and Heidi Shaw, 11th.
Batesville travels to Connersville to compete in their invitational Tuesday.
