Take a pause and notice the next flying bird, and remember the life of Kayden Alexander Bushhorn, age 7 of Milan, Indiana. The world lost one of the kindest hearted little boys on Saturday, February 25, when Kayden peacefully passed away. He was the son of Chris and Lisa (Roell) Bushhorn, who both survive at home. Kayden was full of life and truly a warrior with the most caring of spirit. He fought his illness and surgery without fear and always worried about others. He aspired to be either a marine biologist or a zoologist. He had a deep passion for the love of animals and the zoo. He was the crazy kid that liked snakes, loved watching birds, and could tell you all about wildlife. Kayden enjoyed reading, combine rides, swimming anywhere he could find water and dreaming of traveling throughout the world. He proudly served as a mentor to his younger brother Layne, providing much advice on how to explain his situation to “Dad.” Kayden is survived by his parents Chris and Lisa and little brother Layne all at home in Milan; sister Lexi Bushhorn and companion Adam Siebert of Greensburg; and grandparents Rick and Shawna Bushhorn of Osgood, and Paul and Linda Roell of Dillsboro, along with great grandpa Dale Detmer of Cleves, Ohio. He is survived by uncles Josh (Bethany) Bushhorn of Greensburg; Bryan (Molly) Roell of Sunman; Scott (Christine) Roell of Dillsboro; Paul Roell of Benning; Shawn (Kim) Roell of Guilford; and Aaron Roell of Dillsboro. Also are surviving aunts Melanie (Jason) McLain of Dillsboro, Malinda Roell of Florence, Kentucky and Lindsay (Kyle) Wilhelm of Sunman. Kayden will be deeply missed and never forgotten. He loved with everything he had and should remind all of us never to take a minute for granted. Visitation will be on Wednesday March 1 from 3-7 pm at Neals Funeral Home in Osgood followed by a Funeral Service at 7 pm also at Neals. Memorials may be made out to Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Helping Hearts in care of the funeral home. There’s still time to send flowers to the Visitation at the Neal’s Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on March 1, 2017.
