Kay Sparks, age 81, of West Harrison, Indiana died Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born January 23, 1943 in Cedar Grove, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Frances & Allene (Wilson) Wooley. On June 24, 1961 she was united in marriage to Roy Sparks, and he preceded her in death on September 23, 2011.
Kay was retired having been a homemaker, and had also worked at the cafeteria of Mt. Carmel School.
She had been a member of Macedonia Christian Church, and currently attended First Baptist Church of Brookville. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #449 of Brookville. In her leisure time she enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren; sewing and quilting.
Survivors include two children, Beth (Darian) Lake and Tony (Pam) Sparks all of West Harrison, Indiana; three grandchildren, Madison Lake, Maci Lake and Cole Lake; a sister, Glenna Jones of West Harrison, Indiana; and a brother, Ivan Wooley of Rushville, Indiana.
Family & friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rick Melugin will officiate the Graveside Service on Monday, July 29, 2024, 12:15 P.M. at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brooville.
