Kathleen Margaret Stiegler, 85, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

Born on January 13, 1940, in Batesville, Indiana, Kathy was the daughter of the late Harry Earl Sturwold and Margaret (Schmitt) Sturwold. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who deeply cherished her faith, family, and the simple joys of life.

Kathy worked for many years as a secretary at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home and, prior to that, at Fitch Denney Funeral Home and Fernald. She was a dedicated and devout member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg, where her faith played an essential role in her life.

Kathy was known for her thoughtful nature. She loved sending cards for every occasion, often adding a personal note that brought warmth and love to those around her. She had a special passion for collecting angels, and her yard was her sanctuary, where she enjoyed tending to her flower garden and feeding the birds.

Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Janine Ann (Carl) Lee of Milan, Indiana, Diana Lynne (Jim) Sturgeon of Georgia, and Laurie Leigh Tarnow of LaPorte, Indiana; her grandchildren, Zachary, Kayla, Ben, Grace, and Maddie; great-grandchild, Nash Lee: her brothers, Harold (Diana) Sturwold, Kenneth (Janet) Sturwold, and Donald (Sue) Sturwold, all of St. Peters, Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Bill” Louis Stiegler, and her parents, Harry and Margaret Sturwold.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 542 Walnut Street, Lawrenceburg, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Father Jonathan Meyer officiating. Interment will follow at Greendale Cemetery in Greendale, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Ripley Crossing activity fund.
