Karen Ann (Luke) Sutton, 59, of Tell City, Indiana passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Golden Living Health Care of Lincoln Hills. Karen was born on Monday, June 11, 1962 in Batesville, Indiana; daughter of Ralph and Judith (Cutter) Luke. Karen was a 1980 graduate of South Dearborn High School and a 1985 graduate of Northern Kentucky University. Karen married David Sutton in 1994 and he preceded her in death in 2015. Karen was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmers Retreat. She was employed by the Spencer County Bank as the head bookkeeper and officer of the bank. Karen was an amazing cook and loved her cats. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family, friends, and her bank friends.
Karen will be missed by her parents, Ralph and Judith “Judy” Luke of Dillsboro; brother Chris Todd (Anne) Luke of Atlanta, Georgia; sister Jennifer (Scott) Hildebrand of Lawrenceburg; nieces Allie Hildebrand and Julia Luke; and nephews Nicholas and Marcus Luke and Matt and Jonny Hildebrand.
Karen is preceded in death by her husband David Sutton.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Karen from 12:00 – 1:00 PM Monday, January 17, 2022 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, 7291 State Road 62, Dillsboro, IN 47018. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jared Tucher officiating.
