Judy Kay (Cottingham) Wilkins, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at The Springs of Mooresville. She was born on March 31, 1948, in Milan, Indiana, to the late Harry Bond Cottingham and Lois Evelyn (Ashcraft) Cottingham. She married the love of her life, Leo Theodore Wilkins, on March 23, 1968; he survives.
Judy was a graduate of Milan High School, class of 1966. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who loved to read and knit, she will be missed.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Leo T. Wilkins; daughter, Christina (Gary) Fortner; brothers Donald (Connie) Cottingham of Milan and Charles (Susan) Cottingham of Milan; sister Jean Walcott of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Austin, Felicity, Dakota, Shelby, and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Allie, Giovanni, Leonardo, Alejandro, Cheyenne, Noah, Layla, and Aurora.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Lois Cottingham and brother Jerald Cottingham.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Memorials may be given in honor of Judy to The Glaucoma Foundation or The National Glaucoma Research Foundation.
