Judy H. Crum, age 81 of Batesville, died Friday, February 3, 2023 at her home. Born September 10, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she is the daughter of Bertha (Nee: Timke) and Harry Anderson. She married Roger Crum September 14, 1963 at Adams Lutheran Church. She was co-owner and CFO of Crum Trucking before retiring as well as a member of Adams Church, the Adams Church Ladies Aid and was very involved in the Adams Church Sunday School program.
Judy possessed a radiant smile and enjoyed doing for others. An exceptional cook and baker, she would provide complete meals along with desserts to families when someone was sick or experienced a death. When Roger was in the fields, Judy would bring out a full spread to feed everyone as well and she would often make chili and cookies to bring to work for the employees which they loved.
Her daughter indicated that mom never missed sending a card or an email to family and friends for special occasions including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and condolences. She also gave of her time volunteering at the nursing homes, visiting with residents and making crafts. Judy had a green thumb and loved growing strawberries to make jams and jellies and tomatoes for canning. Pam and Keith laughing remember the days of having to help work in the strawberry patch and pick them.
Other interests Judy liked included dancing, mowing grass and traveling. She and Roger enjoyed many Croswell Bus trips. Among their favorites were Shipshewana, Indiana and trips to Florida and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
She is survived by her husband Roger; daughter Pam (Tom Nicholson) Crum of Harrison, Ohio; son Keith (Ronda) Crum of Batesville; granddaughter Rebecca Crum; grandson Nathan Crum, both of Batesville and great grandchildren Oliver, Bailey and Isabel Crum. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation is Tuesday, February 7th from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Adams Church. Funeral services follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mark Booster officiating with burial in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to Adams Church. For online condolences go to www.weigelfh.com.
