Joshua W. Beam, age 33 of Milan, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Born February 21, 1983 in Knoxville, Tennessee, he is the son of Theresa (Nee: Sullivan) and Joe Beam. He married Amy Armbruster October 18, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Church in Morris. A forester, he worked for Pike Lumber Company and was a member of St. Charles Church in Milan and a gold member of the Society of American Foresters.
Josh’s family described him as the most selfless person they know. A true gentleman, he was willing to help anyone at anytime and always with a smile. A hard worker with great sense of humor, family was important to him and he considered his friends family as well. Josh liked spending his free time outdoors. A deer hunter, he also enjoyed camping, hiking, riding four wheelers and working on pickup trucks. He was also a fan of the older country music and Mexican food.
Josh is survived by his wife Amy; daughter Amelia Dawn; parents Theresa and Joe Beam of Jeffersonville, Indiana; sister Sunshine (David Renback) Beam of Lafayette, Indiana; brothers Jacob (Rebecca) of Newcastle, Maine, Jeremiah of Nashville, Tennessee; father-in-law James Armbruster of Moores Hill, Indiana; mother-in-law Lottie Armbruster of Osgood, Indiana as well as his niece Sydney and nephews Cooper and Preston.
Visitation is Monday, August 15th, from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 16th at St. Anthony’s Church with Rev. Frank Eckstein officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery at Milan. The family requests memorials to the Amelia Beam College Trust Fund.
