Joseph Wayne O’Connor, 77, of Rising Sun, Indiana, passed away Thursday January 2, 2020 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
He was born March 26, 1942 in Rising Sun, IN, son of the late Joseph Kelly O’Connor and Josephine (Graves) O’Connor
Joseph worked at the Fryman Salvage Yard for years, then he worked as a Crane Operator for US Waste of Lawrenceburg for15 years, and also at the River Road Auto Parts.
He loved being grandpa and he will be greatly missed.
Joseph is survived by his children, Lisa (Neil) Walter of Rising Sun, IN and Denny Jo O’Connor; grandchildren, Joseph Alan O’Connor of Rising Sun, IN, Andrew Robert (Christine) Walter of Aurora, IN, Lucas Lee Walter of Harrison, OH; great-grandchildren, Gemma Rose Walter, Josephine Louise Walter, and Robert Lee Walter; special sister, Debra Frazier.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise O’Connor, brother, James Kelly O’Connor, sisters, Ida Mae Conner, and Linda Lou Cunningham.
Friends will be received Monday, January 6, 2020, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held immediately following visitation at 7:00 pm with Pastor Kenneth Hopper officiating.
