Mary Helen Sturgeon, age 79, of Osgood, passed away on January 1, 2020. She was born on July 11, 1940 the daughter of the late William John and Helen (Reis) Bruns in Lawrenceville, IN.
Mary was a graduate of the Milan Indians Class of 1958, then she began to work at Odd Fellows Home in Greensburg. While working here she would meet and marry James Wm Sturgeon on October 7, 1961. Mary than began to work for years in bookkeeping for the former Osgood Auction Mart, following this she worked for nearly 20 years as a cashier at Walmart in Greensburg.
Mary is survived by daughters Melanie (Kevin) Samm of Indianapolis and Melinda (Sean) Kuhn of Morristown, Indiana, brother Robert (Carol) Bruns of Louisville, along with granddaughters Monica and Abigail, and other granddaughters in love. She was preceded in death by husband, James, daughter Monica, Brother William Bruns, and sister Florence Hicks.
Visitation will be held on Monday January 6, 2020 from 10 am.-12 pm. at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood. Funeral Services will be held also on Monday at 12 pm., with burial following at Saint Maurice Cemetery in Napoleon. Memorials may be to church cemetery fund, in care of the funeral home
