Joseph “Joe” Sandlin, 33, of Versailles passed away from injuries in a motorcycle-vehicle accident on U.S. 50 Saturday, May 23, 2020. Joe was born Friday, July 4, 1986 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Joe and Brenda (Eads) Sandlin. He married Vanessa Lee and they were together for almost 8 wonderful years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family, especially his children, helping people, and fishing. He knew God and loved his country.
Joe is survived by his wife Vanessa of Versailles; daughter Mariah Jean Sue Sandlin; son Knox Carter Lee; father Joe Sandlin of Moores Hill; brother Brian Eads (Jennifer Bolser) of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister Melonie June Eads of Cincinnati, Ohio; and nephews Nathan Eads and Nash Lee. He was preceded in death by his mother Brenda, grandparents, aunts, and an uncle.
A service celebrating his life will be held 1 PM Friday, May 29 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Burial will follow in New Craven Cemetery. Family and friends may gather to share and remember him 10 AM – 1 PM Friday, May 29 also at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in honor of Joe to Wounded Warrior or foster care.
