BATESVILLE – A major name in country music is slated to perform in Batesville this weekend.
John Michael Montgomery will take the stage in Batesville at the Ball Plex Saturday night.
18 million records sold. 36 hit singles that include 15 number one records.
The two-time CMA Award winner arrives with a resume full of accolades and hits. Few artists have the career the Kentucky-born singer has had:
It is readily apparent in love songs that the artist has helped set the standard for a generation. Songs like “I Swear,” “I Love the Way You Love Me” and “I Can Love You Like That” still resonate across the landscape.
Montgomery’s repertoire also includes the hits that are pure fun like “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident).” The song topped the Billboard charts in 1995.
The best selling artist from Kentucky will be in Batesville on Saturday and tickets are still available. They can be purchased at WRBI, Batesville Chamber of Commerce, Batesville City Hall and Kroger.
Tickets will be available at Kroger up to the start of the concert at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are also available at the door.
North Kentucky University graduates Hayden Kaye will be the opening act.
