John F. Webster, 59

John F. Webster, 59, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away on May 30, 2025. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, John was the beloved son of Beth (Donald) Wesseler and Lynn Webster. He was a proud 1984 graduate of Greensburg High School, after which he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force.

John went on to work at General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky, where he was known as a dedicated and dependable employee. But more than anything, John was known for his heart—big, generous, and always ready to lend a hand. He never met a stranger, never made an enemy, and had a gift for making others laugh. His infectious smile and contagious laugh could light up any room.

An avid outdoorsman, John especially loved hunting, fishing, and his frequent trips to Dale Hollow. He was a talented cook, famous in his family for the perfect Christmas turkey he prepared each year. He cherished family gatherings and was deeply proud of his children, often bragging about their accomplishments. His devotion as a father was evident to all who knew him.

John is survived by his loving family: his mother and stepfather, Beth and Donald Wesseler; his father, Lynn Webster; his children, Sam Webster and Emily Webster; his stepson, Ethan Hooten; his brother, Mike (Sally) Webster; and his nephews, Enzo and Colin Webster. John will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and unwavering love for his family—a truly good man whose presence will be deeply missed.
