John Dennis Brogan, 79, of Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 with his family by his side. He was born on December 26, 1944 in Greensburg, Indiana the son of Dennis and Montie Barnett Brogan. John loved to mow his yard, hang out with his friends and tell stories at Wallpes Keg. He enjoyed spending his Sunday nights watching football games with his children and grandchildren and Monday nights with his close personal friends playing Euchre. John was so proud of his kittens and showed everyone photos of them. He married Mary Rose Powers on October 14, 1972 and together they had four children: Daniel, David, Shirley and Jennifer.
Survivors include: Children, Danny (Shannan) Brogan, David (Angie) Brogan, Shirley Brogan (Woody), Jennifer (John Thornton) Brogan, Kayla (Clayton) Ainscough and Elvis Flannery; Siblings, Maridel Peterson and Daniel Brogan; 18 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Siblings, Maxine Lee, Thomas Brogan, Carl Brogan, Earl Brogan, Jerry Brogan and Lizzie Adderly.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm.
