
Joan was a computer programmer for McDonald Douglas. She was the first woman programmer to have a program documented at the Pentagon in the early 60’s. She loved taking in the beautiful sights while she traveled to destinations like, Spain and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, but mostly loved the desert and her time spent living in Tucson. Joan’s other hobbies included reading, doing puzzles and playing cards.
She is survived by her daughters, Christa Harness of Batesville and Kathy Jo Dennis of Columbus, GA; son, Franklin (Marcia) Holliday of Federal Way, WA; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and her sister, Rebecca Gast.
Cremation was chosen and there are no services at this time.
