Jimmy Dale Richardson, 82, of Milan passed away Monday, November 10, 2025. Jimmy Dale was born on Friday, December 4, 1942, in Milan; son of Elmer and Ruby (Lyons) Richardson. Jimmy Dale served in the United States Army as a medic and was a member of the Milan American Legion Post #235 for 60+ years. He worked for 30+ years at Cummins Engines and retired at age 51. He was a member of the Milan Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Jimmy Dale was known to live a simple way of life. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, and in his earlier years farming with his father. He loved bluegrass music and spent time traveling to watch the Boys from Indiana and the Grascals. Jimmy Dale also cherished spending time with his family at family gatherings.

Jimmy Dale will be missed by his daughters Beth (Doug) Bruner of Dillsboro and Molly (Michael) Murphy of Zionsville; sister Marilyn Mendez of Cincinnati; grandchildren Erin (Donald) Fahey of Independence, KY, Jennifer (Sean) York of Aurora, Jessica (Josh) Gilb of Rising Sun, Bradley (Hannah) Bruner of Dillsboro, Allison (Jacob) Mann of Carmel, Anna Murphy of Washington D.C., and Luke Murphy of Zionsville; great-grandchildren Nolan, Grace, Jason, June, Jax, Lane, and Henry; and many friends of the Milan American Legion and Milan Volunteer Fire Department.

Jimmy Dale was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Ruby Richardson and brother-in-law Dr. F.L. Mendez.

Family and friends may gather in remembering Jimmy Dale from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM, Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will follow at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Craven Cemetery with military rites provided by Milan American Legion Post #235. Memorials may be given in honor of Jimmy Dale to Milan Volunteer Fire Department or Milan American Legion Post #235.
