Jesse Scott Connelly, age 25 of Batesville, Indiana, passed away January 23, 2020. Jesse was the cherished son of Jeff and Christy Connelly, brother of Katherine and Alexandra Connelly and Grandson of Katherine Grice and Frank and Sue Connelly.
Jesse had a special bond with his sisters, Kate and AJ and was very close to his uncles, Joe, David, Tony and Will. Jesse loved spending time with his nephews Mason and Quinn and his niece Ellie. He was an easy going young man with a terrific sense of humor. Jesse had many close friends and was known for being quick witted, easy to talk to and wise beyond his years. Jesse was very philosophical, even as a young boy. Many meaningful conversations were had between Jesse and family and friends. He believed that there was a powerful universal energy shared by and connecting all life. He believed that upon passing, this energy was released back into the universe to strengthen the bonds of those we touched.
Jesse was a lover of a diverse range of music from classical, rock, country, jazz and blues. He enjoyed picking on his guitar and helping his nephew Mason get started on his own.
Irving Berlin wrote “The Song Is Ended but the Melody Lingers On.” Jesse’s song may have ended but his melody will linger on forever in the hearts, minds and souls of everyone he touched.
A casual Celebration of Life gathering will take place From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Batesville Knights of Columbus, 624 Delaware Road Batesville, Indiana, 47006.
