Jerry Wayne Kent, 89, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, formerly of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
He was born January 28, 1934, in Lawrenceburg, IN, son of the late Orville Kent and Margaret (Small) Pitts.
He served his country as a member of the United States Army.
He worked as an Engineer for Indiana & Michigan Power.
Jerry was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church and the Southern Indiana Woodworkers.
He was an avid golfer. Jerry enjoyed cutting firewood, but being a grandfather was by far his greatest joy.
Jerry is survived by his loving spouse, Patricia (McGraw) Kent, daughter, Sherri Lee Kent; son, Tim (Chris) Kent; grandchildren, Hunter, Mackenzie and Lauren Kent; brother, Robert L. (Kathy) Kent.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville Kent and Margaret Pitts.
Friends will be received Monday, April 24, 2023, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm with Rev. Debbie Beason officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, IN.
Contributions may be made to the Mt. Tabor UMC or Southeastern Indiana Woodturners.
