Jerome D. Warner II

Jerome D. Warner II died Monday, December 20, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. Born April 3, 1970 in Covington, Kentucky, he is the son of Juna Wainscott (Nee: McElfresh) and Jerome Warner. He was General Manager of Laudick Trucking.

Family was always most important to Jerome. He loved snow skiing with the kids and family vacations. Recently, he found a new pastime of camping near Lake Michigan. Graduating from East Central, he remained an avid EC football and basketball fan throughout his life. His voice in the crowd was always easily recognized by everyone and he had no shame in letting the referees know how he felt about a bad call. He often times would try to put on a tough face, but those that knew him best knew that deep down he was loving, softhearted, supportive, and dependable. He would never leave without a hug or telling you to, “Have a good day.” He left a mark on everyone that he met.

Jerome is survived by his wife Paula; daughters Kelsey (Bryan) Huber of Sunman, Addycyn Warner of Batesville; sons Zakary and Carson Warner, both of Batesville; sisters Julie (Mike) Tekulve of Salt Lake City, Utah, Debbie (Dana) Gregg of Oldenburg, Susanne Warner of Cincinnati and grandchildren Morgan, Kendall and Jake Huber, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Kameron.

Visitation is Tuesday, December 28th from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29th at the funeral home and burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Morris. All are welcome to a celebration of life that will take place immediately after burial at The Sherman House in Batesville. The family requests memorials be made to the Jerome Warner East Central Student Athlete Scholarship Fund. For online condolences go to www.weigelfh.com.
