Jean M. Scheidler, 88, passed away on November 30, 2020 at her residence in Greensburg. Born, May 20, 1932 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Gilbert L. and Christine M. (Stier) Eder. Jean graduated from Greensburg High School. She was married to Robert Scheidler on August 11, 1951 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Jean was a homemaker for most of her life. She was extremely involved in St. Mary’s Church, where she most notably was a Cantor, a member of the choir, and choir director. She also assisted in planning the Funeral Masses for the church for several years. Jean is survived by her husband of 69 years; Robert Scheidler, Greensburg, seven children; Joanette (Richard) Wright, Greensburg, Roger (Robin) Scheidler, Montana, Lawrence (Janice) Scheidler, Greensburg, Daniel (Diane) Scheidler, Greensburg, Teresa (Tim) Buell, Greensburg, Susan (Tony) Colson, Greensburg, LuAnn (Joe) Cain, Greensburg, one sister; Margie Fisse, 26 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son; Robert Scheidler, Jr., and sister; Mary Ann Luken. While observing CDC and state guidelines for social distancing and required facial coverings, family and friends will gather at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg to pray the rosary. Visitation will follow until 10:45 am. The funeral mass will start at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Meyer officiating. The funeral mass will be streamed live on the funeral home Facebook page. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Church or St. Mary’s School.
