James Scott Irons, 64, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, in Lawrenceburg, IN.
Jim or Jim Scott as he was known to his family and friends, is survived by his father James E. Irons, his brother David B. Irons, by aunts, Bonnie (Fox) Knocks, Melissa (Fox) Krouse, and Shelly (Fox) Hubbart.
He was preceded in death by mother, Brenda (Fox) Irons and sister, Amy (Irons) Meyer.
Jim Scott was born in Bloomington, IN 1960 and lived for the balance of his life in the communities of Dearborn County, IN.
Jim Scott was a 1978 graduate of Lawrenceburg High School, where he lettered in Wrestling.
Jim worked various jobs during his lifetime, starting with part time jobs during his high school years. His primary post high school employment was with American Electric Power (AEP), where he worked for more than 30 years. He initially worked for that company’s I&M power plant in Lawrenceburg and subsequently on a Regional Maintenance Team which included service at a nuclear power plant in Michigan. He was proud of his service there and received several commendations.
Funeral and burial arrangements will be provided by Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN.
A receiving of friends will be held there 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm,Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
Services will be held a the Funeral Home, Thursday December 12, 2024 at 1:00.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, IN.
