
James is survived by his wife Kay of Dillsboro; children Jeff (Donna) Buck of Lawrenceburg, Rick Buck of Aurora, Tirana (Jeff) Craven of Alaska, and Aaron Buck of Dillsboro; grandchildren Beau, Sheila, Eric, Noah, Eli, Jessica, Trisha, and Triffawna; eight great-grandchildren; brother Lowell (Mary) Buck of Florida; and sister Charlotte Oatman of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents James Sr and Lola; siblings Lucille Burton, Irene Swanson, Helen Padilla, Arthur Buck, Euzella Duff, and Garnett Buck.
A service celebrating his life will be held 11 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro with Pastor Carter Corbrey and Brent Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Sinai Cemetery with full military rites provided by Northcutt-Laaker American Legion Post # 292. Family and friends may gather to share and remember him 9 – 11 AM Tuesday also at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in honor of James to the American Cancer Fund or Korean Veterans Memorial.
