Marcella C. Hildebrand, 91, Brookville

 

Marcella Carolyn Hildebrand, age 91, of Brookville, Indiana died Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born June 2, 1929, in Fayette County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late George & Lena (Pomeroy) Pflum.  On October 29, 1949 she was united in marriage to Louis Hildebrand Jr., and he preceded her in death on June 12, 2003.

Together, her and Louis raised their family on their farm in Blooming Grove Township.  In her leisure time she enjoyed visiting and attending family gatherings, attending Saturday night dances with her husband, and in her later years attending Bluegrass shows with her daughter.

Survivors include four children, Arthur (Carol) Hildebrand, Barbara Hildebrand, Rebecca (Rick) Sacksteder, Martin (Tricia) Hildebrand; a daughter-in-law, Donna Hildebrand; six grandchildren, Keith (Erin) Hildebrand, Mark (Leah) Hildebrand, Kyle (Abbie) Hildebrand, Dustin Sacksteder, Daniel (Amanda Jones) Sacksteder, Andrew (Allison) Sacksteder; five great-grandchildren, Connor Hildebrand, Collin Hildebrand, Laura Hildebrand, Maddie Hildebrand, Emma Sacksteder.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Louis, she was preceded in death by a son Kenneth J. Hildebrand who died December 27, 2015; her grandson, Kent Hildebrand; a sister, Ruth Moore, and a brother, Clarence Pflum.

Rev. Vincent P. Lampert will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 23, 2020, 1:30 P.M. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 145 East St. Michaels Blvd., Brookville.  Burial will then follow in St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery in Brookville; where Art Hildebrand, Marty Hildebrand, Rick Sacksteder, Kyle Hildebrand, Keith Hildebrand, Mark Hildebrand, Dustin Sacksteder, Danny Sacksteder and Andy Sacksteder will serve as pallbearers.

Family & friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
