Jacquelyn “Jackie” Lee Greive

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Lee Greive, 83, of Aurora, IN, passed away on Monday, February 17th, 2025 at The Waters of Batesville. Jackie was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on June 14, 1941, a daughter of the late Edna (Kraus) Christian and Thomas  Christian. She was a graduate of Lawrenceburg High School, Class of 1959. Jackie married Kenneth Ray Greive on May 26th, 1961 at St. John Lutheran Church in Aurora, IN. Jackie and Kenny were married nearly 59 years until his passing on May 21st, 2020. Jackie was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church for over 60 years. Jackie formerly worked in the nurses office and special education department at South Dearborn Schools for several years. Jackie loved cooking for her family and acquired hundreds of recipes over the years. She also enjoyed woodworking and making decorations for the yard and home. Jackie loved being a grandma the most. She looked forward to taking her grandkids fishing, making meals together or any activity they liked, as long as they were together.

Jackie is survived by two sons, Kenneth Ray Greive, Jr., of Aurora, IN and Mark Greive, of Aurora, IN; by her grandchildren: Phillip Young, David Young, Zachary Greive, Jacob Greive, Rebecca Olson (Jacob), Elizabeth Greive and Seth Greive; by her great grandchildren: Ezekiel Olson, Clementine Young, Braxton Young and Addilyn Young. Jackie is also survived by a brother, Ricky Nelson (Gilma), of Florida; by brother-in-law, Donald Greive (Shirley), of Aurora, IN; by sisters-in-law, Peggy Klepper (Steve), of Holland, OH and Rosemary Greive, of Burlington, KY and by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Kenny, by her sister Geri Goodpasture and by her grandson Joseph Greive.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Pastor Mark Hesse officiating. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 22nd at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Aurora, IN.
