Jack DeHahn, 79, of Batesville formerly of South Bend and Lafayette passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at St. Andrews Health Campus. He was born on July 27, 1945 in Lafayette, Indiana as the son of Norbert and Lucille (Deerr) DeHahn.
Jack earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College. He proudly served his nation in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1971. Following his military service, he built a successful career in sales, where his dedication and charisma left a lasting impact. He enjoyed attending sports games. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he found great joy in cheering for his beloved Chicago White Sox and Purdue basketball.
Jack is survived by his son, Kevin (Katie) DeHahn; grandchildren: Lucy, Mia, and George DeHahn; sisters: Jan (Tim) Ryker and Sherry (Larry) Krouse; nephews: Travis and Brock Ryker and Nathan and Jerret Krouse; nieces: Cheryl Borgman, Lindsey Guerra and Melody Shaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Lucille.
A memorial mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Oldenburg at a later date.
