The Lady Eagles bounced back after a difficult match Monday and played No. 4 North Decatur very tough. But the Chargers were just too much as they claimed the match by scores of 25-19, 26-24 and 25-16.
“While we didn’t come out with the win, it was three of the best sets the Lady Eagles have put together this season,” said Jac-Cen-Del coach Cat Schmeltz. “I saw all the hard work these young ladies have put in show up in a game. There wasn’t a specific area we could look at to pinpoint as a struggle. This is one of the best-played matches I have seen in the four years I have coached at JCD. While it was not a win in our overall record, it was a huge mental win for our program. We hope to carry this forward as the season progresses.”
