“It was a very competitive match, but a few points didn’t land our way and we lost in two sets,” said FCHS assistant coach Tana Stang.  “Even though we lost, I am very proud with how the girls played. Many girls played in a position they have never played before along with a new rotation we threw together at practice Monday.”

The Wildcats salvaged one win Tuesday as the Franklin County freshman won 25-13, 25-15.

“The Lady Cats looked comfortable and brought home a quick victory in two sets,” said Franklin County freshman coach Megan Boone. “Another game brought more shuffling of the lineup, but the girls made it look like they had been practicing the lineup for weeks. A few sophomores dressed to support the six freshman starters.  The Wildcats should be proud of the way they played and how they represented Franklin County in their conference matchup. Great job, girls!”
