BATESVILLE, IN — There will be one less option for diners in Batesville and the surrounding area at the start of the New Year.
Izzy’s at Hillcrest is closing on January 1, 2023.
The restaurant opened in January 2013 and has operated out of Hillcrest Golf and Country Club since early 2018.
Izzy’s co-owners Chef Adam Israel and Bill Gardner say they have enjoyed support from the community over the years but have decided to concentrate on family and other important aspects of life.
Hillcrest will continue on-site restaurant operations.
“We already have deep discussions planned to determine the specific direction of the restaurant,” said Hillcrest President Beau Hallavant. “Our primary focus is to maintain part of Izzy’s heritage, and most importantly, the staff. We welcome community feedback and open communication during this rapid transition.”
