
(Versailles, IN) – Troopers from the Indiana State Police Versailles Post conducted a targeted enforcement campaign on roads throughout the district as part of “Click It or Ticket” and Operation Pullover last Friday.
In the east side of the district, troopers wrote 45 tickets – 16 of which were for seatbelt non-compliance; they also issued 42 warnings, and made two criminal arrests, including one for drug possession.
In the west side of the Versailles district, troopers scratched out 62 tickets – including 44 for seatbelt violations – and 47 warnings.
They also inspected four commercial vehicles, assisted eight motorists, and made four arrests.
Two of those were drug related while the others were for outstanding warrants and operating while never having received a valid license.
Three motorists with suspended licenses were also cited. Last week, troopers throughout the Versailles district issued 129 tickets for seat belt violations.
